Gina Sunfly

Gina comes from a strong painting family. Her mother Bai Bai Napangarti (dec) and Sunfly Tjampitjin (dec) were both renowned andinfluential founding artists. Gina's sister Pauline Sunfly is also a strong and respected painter. Gina paints her mothers country, Mangkayi south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert, telling the stories for different foods that can be found there. In recent times Gina has diversified her works. Experimenting with unique use of line and form, bold colour palettes and movement in her pieces.Gina is an emerging artist who works professionally and patiently.
