Loretta started painting in June 2022. She learnt to paint from her aunty, Elsie Dixon. Loretta paints Akatyerre (Desert Raisin) and Awelye which is the Aboriginal term used to describe women’s ceremony; the body paint, the story and the dancing. Loretta lives in Ampilatwatja with her husband and children (two boys and one girl).
