,
Shane Jampijinpa Brown is a contemporary Aboriginal Australian artist who draws his heritage from two distinct cultural regions and works with two different art centers, reflecting the diversity of his artistic practice. On his mother's side, he is connected to the Yuin nation, and on his father's side, the Dunghutti nation. He is the son of premier artist Lorraine Brown, a senior artist and cultural leader at the Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation. His art here often reflects his coastal upbringing and saltwater people heritage, depicting subjects like stingrays, dolphins, and waterbirds.
Central Desert Heritage (Warlpiri): He also paints with the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in the Northern Territory, an Aboriginal-owned art center in Yuendumu and Nyirripi. His work from this region often depicts ancestral stories (Jukurrpa), such as the Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dreaming).
