Sharon Hume
Wadandi, WA,
Sharon Hume is a proud Noongar woman, born on Wilmen Country in the South West. Though life took her across different paths, she has spent most of her time on Wadandi Country in Bunbury and now calls Busselton home.A survivor of the Stolen Generation, Sharon was taken from her family and spent seven years at Wandering Mission in Rowlands, raised by Catholics and disconnected from her culture. Her parents, too, were part of the Stolen Generation, leaving deep wounds of separation from her ancestral roots.
