Vanessa Nampijinpa Browns born on 16 April 1976 in Alice Springs Hospital, the closest hospital to Nyirripi, a remote aboriginal community located approximately 430km north-west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. When she was young her family moved to Nyirripi, and she completed her studies at Yirrara College in Alice Springs. Vanessa spends a lot of time with her children and grandchildren in Balgo, WA. Vanessa has painted with Warlukurlangu Artists for many years and her paintings represent Pamapardu Jukurrpa (Flying Ant Dreaming). When she is not painting Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and takes a lot of pride in maintaining her home.
