Here Debra paints children’s water dreaming.
Water dreaming paintings depict the waterholes through a mass of interconnecting lines, which outline the flow and movement of this resource.
Debra also regularly paints the Uwalki Watiya Tjuta Dreaming (otherwise known as mulga leaves or bended leaves). The repeated tree motifs represents the women’s side of the Dreaming. Depicted here is the sacred ceremonial grounds of Awelye (women’s business), including the body paint used on women during ceremonies.
