The delicate patterning and subtle colours of Dolly’s work depicts her country of Alhalkere situated in the Utopia region Northeast of Alice Springs. The Yam is an important food source for Aboriginal people and is collected by the tribe’s women.

Dolly was born at Boundary Bore Outstation; her language group is Anmatyerre. She is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal artists with works in major Australian and international collections.
