This artwork depicts women’s ceremonial grounds (concentric circles), which are places that have special significance under Aboriginal tradition. Often song-lines and dance cycles are enacted to the ancestors. The linear pattern depicted, represents the body markings, which are primarily related to spiritual matters.

Eliza Jugadai is an up and coming artist from central Australia, Northern Territory.

She works in Alice Springs. Her paintings draw inspiration from family member George Hairbrush Tjungurrayi.
