For at least 65,000 years Aboriginal people have come together to share Dreaming stories, knowledge, lore and languages. This has kept culture strong.

Ceremonies are a rite of passage, combining song, dance and rituals to teach aspects of lore, spiritual beliefs and survival.

In this painting, John Sara reflects on the meeting of Aboriginal people on Country — coming together over thousands of years and continuing to gather today to celebrate history and the future.
