During bunuru season and into Djeran, when the ngari salmon are migrating along the coastal shores they are visible in the moonlight on high tide. Family’s gather along the sandbars and fish traps of Quedjinup Dunsborough in knee deep water to spear ngari and notice many other night sea creatures such as octopus, squid, prawns and crab. Wadandi family’s cook on the beach under the meeka moonlight. Symbols in each corner represents fire, stories, gathering and seasons.
