As guardians of our country (Boodja), we achieved balance and adaptability through thousands of years of living in harmony with the bush.
Aboriginal people enjoy a diverse diet and have an intimate knowledge of edible and medicinal plants.
The Noongars diet was based on the six seasons. It is important that they only took what they needed from country to maintain biodiversity. By eating or using plants when they are in abundance, natural resources are not depleted and will be plentiful for the following year.
