Beautiful Dancing tree, native to the southwest of Western Australia. Traditionally had many uses to Noongar people. It was used for its medicinal properties. For children with chest and nasal congestion, mothers would crush the leaves in their hands then place hot peppermint scented hands on their chest. Ash from burnt Peppi twigs and leaves was mixed with fat and used as salve to treat wounds and sores. The leaves and the gum were used ceremonially in smoking ceremonies. Young plants were made into spear shafts or digging sticks. With the flexible nature of the Peppi branches, they were ideal for making Mia Mias (traditional shelters).
