One of the natural forces that defines Sandbeach country is the monsoonal rain that occurs during the wet season from February to April. The build-up of humidity before the rain falls is palpable and the downpour itself has a blanketing volume that drowns the landscape. These enveloping climatic conditions impact substantially on human moods and activity as well as on natural growth. In these moist conditions, bamboo flourishes and here Rosella shows the bamboo canes bathed in a pink light.
