Yondee uses a very special technique where he paints the Noongar six seasons represented by colour of the season. Using the woolly bush branches he paints each canvas whilst blessing each piece of art with a smoking ceremony. The Noongar seasons are: Birak (Dec Jan) season of reptiles, Bunuru (Feb March) our second summer, Djeran (April May), Autumn our first rains, Makuru (June July) the coldest wettest time of year, Djilba (Aug Sept) (season of conception) and Kambarang (Oct Nov) the season of birth.
