“Meeting Place” is a reflection of Noongar connection to Boodja (Country), where our people come together in harmony with the bush.

The central circle represents a gathering place, a sacred space of meeting, storytelling and belonging. The surrounding mallee and peppermint flowers symbolise the beauty of the bushland and the deep connection to Country.

The traditional Aboriginal symbols throughout the painting represent animals, tracks, water, camps, pathways and the stars of the night sky. These tell the stories of life and culture moving across the land.

“Meeting Place” celebrates community, culture and the enduring bond between People and Boodja.
