Reef Beach

“Reef Beach” represents a wild coastal place depicting the moods of the ocean showing rocks, reefs, waves and currents that shape the coast, where generations of footsteps have walked the shore and fished the waters.

The circles represent gathering places where families come together to fish, share stories and read the ever-changing sea. Flowing lines of colour show the movement of the ocean as it flows over the reef, rocks and sand making dark and light tones reflecting changing depths and currents.

Noongar people have a strong spiritual connection to the beauty and strength of the sea and the abundant wildlife supported by it.
