Kim Kiosses
,
Kim is a Noongar woman with heritage from Pilbara and Perth, WA. Kim's paintings are a way of telling a story as she reflects on life experiences and family history. Her inspiration is her family and her country. Kim says "I am blessed to live , love and raise my children on the beautiful land and waters of Wadandi Boodja. We honour their wisdom, knowledge and connections to country.
The creations of my artwork is a journey, from developing a concept to a finished artwork. I use symbols, lines, dots and textures in my paintings. My paintings are a piece of my story and the timeless story of my ancestors, forever linked to this sacred country.
Kim draws inspiration from her father John Sara who is also an established local Noongar artist.
