Across Noongar Boodja, fire has long been part of the story of Country, not only an ending, but a beginning.
The gentle glow moves across the land, clearing old growth and making space for new life. After the fire, Country rests. Then, slowly, green shoots emerge, flowers return and the bush comes alive again.
The colours of the land change with the seasons, reminding people that Country is always moving, healing and renewing itself.
Fire teaches that from the warmth and ashes can come new growth, a cycle of care, connection and regeneration.
