This artwork tells a story of the deep connection between Noongar people and Boodja (Country).
The winding pathways represent the waterways, tracks and journeys that connect people to places, family and Country. The earthy colours reflect the land beneath our feet, while the soft flowers represent the beauty and life that grows across Boodja.
The gathering shapes symbolise places where people come together — sharing stories, knowledge, food and memories. Every dot carries a connection: to Country, to family and to the generations who have walked these lands before us.
For Noongar people, Country is more than land. It is home, family, story and spirit. By caring for Country, we care for each other and help keep those stories alive for generations to come.
