During Makuru, the cold and wet season of the Noongar Six Seasons, rain falls across Boodja, filling the rivers, wetlands and waterways with new life.
The deep blue colours in this artwork represent the flowing water as it moves across Country. As the wind travels over the land, the water and flowers seem to swirl together, creating a beautiful dance of movement and colour.
The delicate flowers carried through the swirling pathways remind us that even during the cold winter months, Country is alive and changing. Every raindrop nourishes the earth, while the wind carries the scent and beauty of the flowers across the landscape.
