Where Water Blooms Below

Possum Rose

$6,700.00

A hidden world beneath the surface, where life quietly grows.

The spring. The fresh water that holds us.

This painting is about life below the water of a natural spring. I wanted this painting to make people slow down. To breathe. To feel calm and peaceful.

For my people, water is so important. Water is life. It is healing. It is Country. It is where we come from and what keeps us alive.

Water holds so much. It holds life. It holds bloom and growth. It holds calm and softness. It holds our stories and our connection to Country. It holds healing underneath its surface.

Down here, in a natural spring, in clear spring water, everything moves slow and steady. There is no rush. There is only quiet growth. Drifting. Flowing. Go with the flow. This is how water teaches us to be – slow, steady, calm, breathing.

In the waterhole, life continues quietly. Blooming. Growing. Soft in the green below.

When you look at this painting, I want you to feel what water holds for my people. To feel calm. To feel peaceful. To slow down and feel held by Country, like water holds us.
