Yvonne says,“Fishing Holes” depicts life at beautiful Banjelungup (Bremer Bay), where my family has fished for generations, making fish a constant and reliable source of food. Knowledge of fishing spots and techniques have been passed down through the generations.

Inspired by Yvonne’s home Country, she uses bright colours to reflect the vibrant her home. Particularly the beautiful wildflowers and the crystal blue water.

Yvonne is a Minang Noongar/Ngadju artist from Yarramoup (Jerramugup) and Banjelungup (Bremer Bay) in the great southern region of WA. Currently lives in Boorloo (Perth).
