Red/Ochre and Earthy Tones
Aboriginal artists derived their original array of colours from Australian pigments extracted from the earth, crafted through the iron content present in the soils. Red stands as a fundamental colour in art, symbolizing tradition and essential elements such as blood, representing life. it also embodies the elements of earth and fire.
