Kim is a Noongar Banyjima Nyiypali woman with heritage from Pilbara and Perth, WA.
Her grandparents were part of the Stolen Generation. Her pop was taken from the Pilbara and Nan was taken out near York. Then then met at Sister Kate's Mission, east of Perth which is where they fell in love and had 9 children. Kim travels with her family to the Pilbara is discover her families identity and where they belong. Kim's paintings are a way of telling a story as she reflects on life experiences and family history. Her inspiration is her family and her country.

Kim studied TEE art in year 12 before studying to become a horticulturalist. After years of working in the industry, Kim got back into her art and loves her style and where he art has taken her.
Kim says "I am blessed to live , love and raise my children on the beautiful land and waters of Wadandi Boodja. We honour their wisdom, knowledge and connections to country.
The creations of my artwork is a journey, from developing a concept to a finished artwork. I use symbols, lines, dots and textures in my paintings. My paintings are a piece of my story and the timeless story of my ancestors, forever linked to this sacred country.
Kim draws inspiration from her father John Sara who is also an established Indigenous artist.
